Raf Simons Sneaker

It's not often that a sneaker makes me wet but this style from Raf Simons is just to die.
It's like a snow boot, perfect for winter non? £289 is little out of my price range so if your feeling generous shoot me a message & I'll give you my delivery addy.

Balenciaga AW0809

I found this collection to be rather hit & miss. It was all classic Nicolas G but I felt it didn't mesh well together. Maybe there were too many ideas, or too few. Oh well, we all have our off seasons. Well I don't, I'm not a designer, just a judgmental twit. Pierre Hardy delivered as always a range of stellar court shoes & boots that looked like they were made of moon base membrane.

PRADA AW0809

A sombre winter for Muiccia. Loads of black, loads of lace. Beautiful flesh toned funnel necked skivvies worn underneath were a clever look. The most outstanding for me was the eyewear. Futurist Euro Akira.

Poor Chloe

Chloe's had a shitload of bad press since Phoebe Philo left the house way back when, most of it unjustified. Their most recent head designer, Paolo Melim Andersson has quit. I wish I could add "amid rumours..." but I can't because I don't know why he left. If I were to guess I'd say it's because of the luke-warm reception his collections received. I think Chloe really needs a female as their head designer. It says alot about an industry that wants results (read profit) instantly over continuity & development. Anyway, I thought I'd go on a wee trip down memory lane with some of my favourite looks from Chloe, past to present.

BETTER LATE THAN NEVER...PARIS AW0809

Yeah I've been a slack cunt, what of it? I'm a busy girl at school with a small range to complete. It's looking fabulous btw.
I have about 20 minutes before I have to go to work so I thought I'd post some of my fave looks from Paris. I may throw in some bits from Milan too (6267, squeal!).
Stefano Pilati wowed the crowd with studied look on day wear. Mop-tops, nu-rave eye wear & the pant of the season, a shapely, ankle-grazing stunner, that'll get business executives from Tokyo to Sydney in an absolute tizzy.
Marios Schwab made the most convincing shot at body-con dressing & finding a new silhouette, long & lean. It still doesn't feel right & I think it may be a season or two away before anyone hits the right note.
6267, the number on every fashion editor's lips, showed a nice collection of sharp wool suits with military touches. Nothing awe-inspiring, just impeccably tailored.
